flutter_stream_buffer
An MIT-licensed Flutter package that combines streaming text deltas into one snapshot per display frame, with cancellation and bounded accumulation.
When to use it
For AI response text, captions or logs arriving in many small chunks. It keeps the accepted text in order and lets the UI receive a combined snapshot each frame.
What it does
- Frame-batched updates for streaming text
- Partial output retained on errors or cancellation
- A configurable size limit for accumulated text
- Works with your existing backend and renderer
Add it to your Flutter project
flutter pub add flutter_stream_bufferCheck pub.dev for the current version and requirements and read the API documentation.
Before integrating
This package handles text accumulation and delivery. Your application still chooses the model provider, transport, rendering and error messages. See the API documentation for lifecycle and cancellation behavior.
